Late Friday night, 36 and 35 were dispatched for a fire alarm at 375 East Elm St. an office building in the borough. Upon arrival, a faint odor of smoke was noticed before making entry. After forcing entry, a search was performed, and an elevator mechanical room was found charged with smoke. Smoke and hydraulic oil were coming from the elevator motor. After opening up the motor, a small amount of fire was extinguished, and the unit was cooled. Assiting us on the call was 39 full company. All units were available at 0031 hours.
